On Friday, November 21st, we’ll be celebrating Take Your Child to Work Day! The day is coordinated by the Office of the Ombudsman for Children, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, the Central Union for Child Welfare, and labor market organizations. The purpose of the day is to give children the opportunity to explore their parent’s workplace.
Salo IoT Campus wants to help make this introduction to working life a pleasant and memorable experience for children. We will host a joint breakfast for children and parents at Restaurant Factory on Friday, November 21st from 8:30 to 9:30. You can register for the breakfast here.
During the morning, there will also be a checkpoint tour where participants can explore the campus environment and its companies.
In the afternoon, a movie session will be held at 13:00 in the Hobby Corner, and adults are welcome to join as well. You can also pick up small activity items from the lobby service desk to take back to your office, such as a workplace bingo sheet!
Salo IoT Campus tips for Take Your Child to Work Day:
- Register for the joint breakfast here. No registration is required for the rest of the day’s program.
- Children always get an affordable lunch at Factory: €1 per age year.
- The Hobby Corner is freely available throughout the day—please remember that children must remain under their parents’ supervision.
- School-aged children may also participate in Take Your Child to Work Day if agreed in advance with their teacher.
